For Neda

Here's one of my images from my exhibition titled Freedom, Azadi, Libertdad. The series of images were exhibited in Miami as part of Amnesty International's "Stop Violence Against Women".

This self-portrait is titled: I Do Exist.

In memory of Neda, the young girl who was killed in Tehran, fighting for Freedom. Your voice will never be silenced.

Fashion and Politics

Who said fashion doesn't effect politics? I'm wearing black today as a sign of mourning for the brave protesters killed in Iran and so are hundreds and thousands of other people. Although I'm many miles away, it's my way of showing support for their fight for freedom.

Did you know Azadi means Freedom?

Warning: if you find the dress too revealing, look away.

Take Cover

Although summer time is all about uncovering, I've found the perfect beach cover-up. I've been looking for something that dries easy and that I can wear over my bikini without feeling like a complete idiot. Most cover-ups don’t cover much. I choose to buy mine in a bright fuchsia color that reminds me of the blooming bourgainvilleas all over Laguna Beach.

When the sun sets, this cover-up can be easily transformed into a cute tunic top and worn with a short denim skirt or leggings.

Cotton cover-up with silver embroidery, $24.50 available at Old Navy.

Warning: you may be tempted to buy this in more than one color.
